AACPCE.com offers continuing education courses to dental professionals in the field of craniofacial pain, temporomandibular joint disorders, and sleep-related breathing disorders. Our faculty members have diverse backgrounds and expertise, and have enriched the field of craniofacial pain through research, practice, and teaching, both nationally and internationally.

Many of the programs we offer are accredited by the American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP®) and are eligible for continuing education credits.

Programs are offered at a 15% off discounted rate to members of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Members can simply log in when purchasing to receive their rate.

(CTA I)
  The goal of the CTA course is to train dental assistants in the field of temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) and craniofacial pain disorders. Assistants will gain clinically relevant knowledge and skills, which are essential for success in a TMD practice.

Fundamentals of TMD Diagnosis & Treatment
  The goal of this program is to introduce the fundamental principles of diagnosis and treatment of craniofacial pain, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), and sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBDs) to dentists who are new to the field and to dentists who would like to refresh their knowledge base. This program is also ideal preparation for dentists who wish to enroll in the AACP Institute’s Craniofacial Pain Mini-Residency program.

Hygienist’s Role in the Evaluation & Treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing
  The goal of this program is to teach hygienists how to screen for and refer patients with sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBDs) and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), and to understand their role on the treatment team. Dental hygienists are uniquely placed as primary care clinicians who see patients on a regular basis, making them instrumental in identifying patients with SRBDs and TMD.
